Supplements are special collections of manuscripts, including research articles, op-eds, policy papers, notes from the field, and other pieces related to a research study, intervention, or program. While similar to those produced by other academic journals, BCPHR offers organizations seeking to publish supplements several unique features.
Organizations also have the opportunity to host a live webinar or promotional video, with links posted on BCPHR's social media channels including YouTube.
BCPHR's editorial charges are lower than other journals. We charge by the number of articles published, creating a transparent cost structure that accommodates different research needs.
BCPHR provides a dedicated editorial liaison supported by a highly skilled editorial team to assist organizations throughout the publication process, ensuring a smooth experience and timely publication.
The BCPHR supplement publication process features a fast-tracked peer review process. Successful satisfaction of publication guidelines can lead to publication in less than 4 months.

Supplements are showcased in a dedicated, high-profile space on the journal's website. Each supplement receives a dedicated DOI for both the supplement itself and each individual manuscript.
BCPHR actively promotes supplements through its e-newsletter and on its homepage, with an option to place social media content on BCPH's Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages.
Supplements are divided into three categories based on the number of articles. To ensure diversity of content, each category requires a specific mix of manuscript types. Contact [email protected] if you wish to include dedicated video and audio submissions.
BCPHR is dedicated to the publication of high-quality manuscripts. The supplement production process:
Complete the BCPHR Supplement Interest Form, including scope and theme, tentative list of articles and authors, goals for publishing, and expected deadlines. Payment is requested at submission. Purchase orders are available for organizational requirements. Steps 3 and forward commence upon full payment.
A BCPHR representative will meet with the organization to review submission processes, set a timeline for peer review and publication, and assign the dedicated editorial liaison.
On the agreed date, the organization submits all manuscripts through the Scholastica portal using required templates. All manuscripts must be named "Supplement_InstitutionName_AuthorLastName." All authors should include their ORCIDs at submission.
The editorial liaison coordinates peer review. Tentative decisions based on initial review are provided during week one. Final decisions of acceptance, revise and resubmit, or rejection are provided one month after submission.
After dissemination of decisions, the third month is dedicated to coordinating revise and resubmit submissions and light copy-editing of accepted pieces by the BCPHR team.
A BCPHR co-editor-in-chief conducts a final review of all supplement manuscripts. Any updates are made at that time.
BCPHR facilitates the final layout of articles in the supplement's designated space on the BCPHR website.
The organization representative and their team have one week to review the layout of their articles for any updates.
BCPHR announces the supplement, including its abstract and a list with links to the articles, in a dedicated e-newsletter.
BCPHR forwards and provides support for inquiries and feedback from readers and authors.
Optional press packages are available including social media distribution (3 times on each of BCPHR's accounts), press release dissemination through Cision, and post-publication performance and engagement access.
BCPHR's editorial charges are lower than those of other journals, dictated by the number of articles published.
Supplements may be paid in 4 equal installments as indicated on the payment form. Purchase orders are available for organizations with procurement requirements. The purchase order must be paid in full at the time of publication.

Every research article in a BCPHR supplement undergoes single-blind peer review by at least two qualified reviewers, with final acceptance approved by the Editors-in-Chief. Supplement sponsors do not influence editorial decisions. Articles that do not meet BCPHR's standards are not published, regardless of supplement sponsorship.
Articles published in BCPHR supplements receive the same DOIs, the same indexing, and the same long-term archiving as articles published in general editions. Supplement articles are findable through standard databases (JSTOR, and once accepted, PMC, Scopus, and Web of Science) and are included in the journal's overall citation record.
